Terms of Use
Version 1. Published October 7, 2026
These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Care Cadet Platform. Part A applies to everyone. Part B applies to patients. Part C applies to healthcare organizations and their staff. Part D applies to everyone.
PART A -- EVERYONE
A1. What Care Cadet is
Care Cadet is an online marketplace for healthcare. Patients search for services, compare prices that providers publish, and request appointments. Providers list their services, set their own prices, and accept or decline requests.
Care Cadet is a technology company. We do not practice medicine. We do not employ or supervise clinicians. We do not triage, match symptoms to specialties, make referrals, or give medical or insurance advice. We are not a party to the relationship between you and your provider.
A2. How we are paid
Providers pay us. Patients pay us nothing for appointment requests or booking. Our fees are flat dollar amounts, set out in our agreement with each provider. Our fee is a fixed amount based on the type of service. It is not a percentage of what you pay and it does not change with the price of the service. Providers are contractually prohibited from passing our fee to you, adding it to the price shown, or itemizing it on your bill.
A3. No paid placement
We do not sell placement, ranking, or prominence in search results, and providers cannot buy it. Results are ordered by criteria you select, such as price, distance, and availability, or by our default criteria. We do not make claims about the clinical quality, competence, or outcomes of any provider.
A4. We do not list everyone
The Platform does not list every provider in any area. A provider not shown may still offer the service, and may offer it at a different price. Searching here is not a substitute for looking more widely.
A5. What we verify, and what we do not
For each organization and clinician listed, we verify the National Provider Identifier and taxonomy against the federal NPPES registry, and we screen against the federal exclusion lists at onboarding and monthly after that.
Licenses are different, because states differ. In some states the licensing board publishes its records in a form we can check against directly, and there we verify the license ourselves. In others the board does not, or does not permit it, and there we re-check the license details the provider gave us, as often as the board allows. We publish which states are which. We do not tell you a license has been verified when it has only been re-checked.
We do not verify clinical competence, training, board certification, malpractice history, or patient outcomes. We do not independently verify facility licensure; organizations supply and warrant that. We do not verify that a published price is a good price.
A6. Responsiveness statistics
We may show how quickly an organization responds to booking requests. Those numbers state the period measured and how many requests they are based on. They are factual operating statistics. They are not ratings, badges, stars, or tiers, they say nothing about quality of care, and they are not affected by what a provider pays us.
A7. Reviews
Reviews on Care Cadet are written by patients who booked through us. We do not write them, buy them, or pay anyone to write one, and we never offer anything in exchange for a positive review. We may invite you to write an honest one.
A review is the writer’s opinion. We do not verify it, we do not adopt it, and it is not a statement by us about anyone’s clinical quality or competence. Reviews do not affect a provider’s position in search results in any way connected to what they pay us.
Providers can reply to a review, and can ask us to remove one. They cannot remove one themselves, and they are not allowed to offer you anything to change, remove, or not write a review. If a provider pressures you about a review, tell us.
We remove a review only if it contains protected health information about someone, is unlawful, threatens someone, is not about a service booked here, or breaks our published content rules. We do not hide, delay, or reorder reviews to make anyone look better. We publish how reviews are sorted and filtered.
Where we show a review or rating that came from somewhere else, we say so and name the source. Those are not verified patient reviews, and we make no promise that the person who wrote one was ever this provider’s patient.
Where we show a rating or star average, it is arithmetic over the reviews we hold. It is not our assessment of anyone’s clinical quality, and we do not show one until there are at least five reviews behind it. We publish how it is calculated.
We are not responsible for what reviews say. Reviews and replies are written by the people who wrote them, not by us. We do not verify them and we do not adopt them. Nothing in a review or a rating is a statement by Care Cadet about any provider or clinician.
A8. Your account
Give accurate information when you create an account and keep it current. Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.
A9. Acceptable use
Do not use the Platform to break the law, to impersonate anyone, to interfere with its operation or security, to submit false information, or to harass anyone.
A10. Automated access, scraping, and reverse engineering
Whether or not you are signed in, you may not: use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access or extract data from the Platform; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of it; bypass any access control or rate limit; or use the Platform or any data from it to train a machine learning model.
This does not apply to a search engine crawler that honors our robots.txt file.
If we believe automated access is occurring, we may rate-limit or block it, and we will normally give written notice before treating continued access as unauthorized.
A11. Intellectual property
We own the Platform, including its software, design, and trademarks. You may use it only as these Terms allow.
Provider names, service descriptions, and prices belong to the providers, who license them to us so we can list them. Nothing here transfers any right in them to you.
A12. Third-party services
Payment processing is provided by a third party. Links to other websites are for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for them.
PART B -- PATIENTS
B1. Emergencies
Do not use Care Cadet in an emergency. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Care Cadet is not monitored for emergencies and cannot help you in one.
B2. Prices, and what you pay
The price shown is set by the provider, not by us. It is the whole price for the service listed, and it is what you pay. We add nothing to it and we charge you nothing.
The price covers the service you booked. You may be charged separately for something you ask for in addition, something scheduled separately, or something clinically necessary that could not reasonably have been foreseen when you booked.
For imaging, the listing tells you whether the price includes the radiologist’s interpretation. If it does not, you will receive a separate charge from the physician who reads the images.
B3. How payment works
Your payment goes to the provider, not to us. The provider is the merchant of record.
When you request an appointment, a hold is placed on your card for the price shown. Nothing is charged until the provider confirms. If the provider declines, or does not respond, the hold is released and you are not charged. A hold is released within four days if the provider has not confirmed by then.
The provider’s name, as it will appear on your card statement, is shown to you before you book. That wording never names a service type, a specialty, or a procedure. It tells you who charged you, not what for.
The price shown when the provider confirms is the price that applies. A later price change does not affect a confirmed booking.
Very occasionally a price is shown that is not the price the provider set, because we made a mistake. If that happens we tell you promptly, cancel the booking, and refund you in full. You are never charged more than the price you were shown, and you never owe the difference. Sometimes we will cover the difference ourselves so your appointment goes ahead, but we cannot promise that.
B4. Keeping a card on file
We ask every patient to keep a card on file, on the same terms, so that providers can apply their own missed-appointment policies.
If you are enrolled in Medicaid, in the Children’s Health Insurance Program, or in both Medicare and Medicaid, you are exempt. You do not need to keep a card on file and no missed-appointment or late-cancellation fee may be charged to you.
B5. Changing or cancelling
Each provider sets its own cancellation, rescheduling, and missed-appointment policy, including any fee. That policy is shown to you before you book and again in your confirmation. A policy that was not shown to you before you booked cannot be applied to that booking.
Any missed-appointment or late-cancellation fee is the provider’s fee, charged by the provider. We take no share of it.
If the provider cancels, or does not furnish the service, you receive a full refund.
B6. Insurance and government programs
Bookings made through Care Cadet are currently self-pay. No claim is submitted to any insurer or government program for a booking made here, and the amount you pay may not count toward any deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. If that changes, we will update these Terms and tell you before it applies to a booking you make.
We ask whether you are enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, TRICARE, or VA coverage. We ask so that providers can meet their own obligations and so that the exemption in B4 can be applied. Whether to furnish care on a self-pay basis is the provider’s decision.
If you have insurance, check with your plan before booking. Paying cash here may cost more or less than using your coverage.
B7. Messages we send
Our text messages and emails contain no health information. They tell you that something has happened with a booking and ask you to sign in to see the detail. We do this so that a message on a lock screen never reveals anything about your care. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, though we will still need to reach you about bookings by email.
B8. Complaints about your care
Your healthcare relationship is with the provider. A concern about the care you received goes to the provider. We will tell you how to reach them and will pass on anything you send us, but we have no access to your medical record and we cannot resolve a clinical dispute.
If you believe a provider has acted improperly, you may also contact the relevant state licensing board.
B9. Writing a review
You can review a practice, and the clinician you saw or were booked to see, if you booked through us and the appointment happened, or if the practice confirmed your booking and then cancelled it or did not see you. You cannot review a booking the practice never confirmed, or one you did not turn up to.
A review of a clinician is a review of them at that practice. If they also work somewhere else that uses Care Cadet, your review does not appear there, and it does not follow them if they move.
If a provider never responded to your request, that is not lost. It counts towards the response-time figures we publish for them, which is a more useful signal to the next patient than a review from someone who was never seen.
Your review is public and it stays public. Anyone can read it, including people who are not signed in, and search engines may index it. Write only what you are content to have public. Do not include your own health details, or anyone else’s, unless you want them read by strangers.
We never publish your name. Not your name, not your initials, not a pseudonym, nothing. Every review carries one of two labels and nothing else: "Confirmed booking" with the month and year, or "Completed appointment" with the month and year. The label is what tells a reader the review is real. We do not show the date, the department, or what you were seen for.
You can delete your review at any time. Deleting it also deletes the provider’s reply to it. Reviews cannot be edited. If you want to change what you wrote, delete it and write a new one.
The provider cannot delete or change your review. A provider may reply once, and a reply is not allowed to confirm that you were a patient or name what you were seen for. If one does, tell us and we will take it down.
Do not write a review for a provider you did not see, do not write one on anyone else’s behalf, and do not accept anything from a provider in exchange for writing, changing, or removing a review.
B10. Your age
You must be 18 or older to create an account. When someone reaches 18, the account is theirs. We end any access a parent or guardian had on that basis, unless the provider tells us otherwise.
B11. Booking for someone else
You may book for another person if you have the authority to act for them. That might be because you are their healthcare agent or proxy, hold a power of attorney, are a court-appointed guardian, or are the parent or legal guardian of a child.
Before you book, we ask you to confirm that you have that authority and to tell us the basis for it. We record what you tell us, with the date, and we pass it to the provider.
We do not check your paperwork. We do not review powers of attorney, healthcare directives, guardianship orders, or proof that you are a parent, and we do not decide whether someone can act for a patient. The provider makes that decision, because the law puts it with them and they are the ones with the clinical relationship. We record what you told us; we do not verify it.
If a provider tells us you are not, or are no longer, authorized to act for a patient, we will act on that promptly.
If you use your own card, you are the cardholder and you are authorizing the charge. The provider’s cancellation and missed-appointment policy applies to the booking, and whether the patient is exempt under B4 depends on the patient’s coverage, not yours.
This lets you make a booking for someone. It does not give you ongoing access to their account or their booking history.
B12. For parents and guardians
If you book for a young person using your card, a charge will appear on your statement. We show you the exact wording before you book. It names the provider only, and never a service type, a specialty, a procedure, or a department.
Depending on your state and the young person’s age, some kinds of care are confidential to them. Where that is so, a provider may decline to discuss the care with you, and may not be permitted to. That is the provider’s judgment to make under the law of their state, not ours.
PART C -- HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS AND THEIR STAFF
C1. If your organization has signed our Master Services Agreement
The Master Services Agreement controls. Where these Terms and that agreement, its Exhibits, its Schedules, or the Order Form conflict on any subject, that agreement governs and these Terms do not apply to the subject of the conflict.
If you are a member of that organization’s staff with access to its account, your access is also governed by the Workforce User Agreement you accepted, and your handling of health information is governed by the Business Associate Agreement between Care Cadet and your organization, not by these Terms.
C2. If your organization has not signed
If you are browsing as a prospective provider, Parts A and D apply to you. Nothing on the Platform is an offer to contract, and listing requires a signed agreement.
C3. Provider accounts
Provider accounts are granted by the organization, not by us. Do not create one without your organization’s authority. Listings, prices, and availability are your organization’s responsibility and must be accurate and current.
PART D -- EVERYONE
D1. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS". WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF ANY SERVICE A PROVIDER FURNISHES, FOR ANY CLINICAL DECISION OR OUTCOME, OR FOR THE ACCURACY OF ANY PRICE OR LISTING A PROVIDER PUBLISHES.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENT OF ANY REVIEW, RATING, OR PROVIDER REPLY PUBLISHED ON THE PLATFORM, OR FOR ANY CONSEQUENCE OF PUBLISHING, REMOVING, OR DECLINING TO REMOVE ONE.

D5. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date, and where the change is material we will notify account holders. The version in effect when you make a booking governs that booking.
D6. General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger or sale of our business.
