    Our Mission

We want to empower patients to find quality healthcare at transparent prices when they need them, where they need them. We want to help doctors find whether they are reimbursed fairly for the quality care they provide. Simply put, we want to shine a light on healthcare cost and quality.

    Our Vision

We will display healthcare prices and quality of care ratings of non-emergency services on the website and a mobile app. We will help patients view doctors’ schedules and book appointments easily. We will build a platform for doctors to publish healthcare prices and quality ratings. We also plan to empower patients and employers to find the right insurance plans for their needs.

    Why Care Cadet?

Care Cadet Inc. was founded by three passionate and motivated immigrants who struggled to find affordable healthcare.

According to a report published by KFF in March 2024, about 50% of Americans delayed or skipped care due to concerns about potential costs. The healthcare system is plagued by several issues that contribute to this problem:

    1. Price Disparity: There is a huge disparity in the pricing of healthcare services across providers, and even within the same provider for the same service based on the payer.
    2. Fear of Surprise Bill: Patients lack visibility into the cost of healthcare services prior to treatment resulting in a surprise bill in the mail.
    3. Lack of Pricing Data for Non-Emergency Procedures: Limited resources are available for patients to compare the cost of non-emergency care (including urgent care services, imaging services, etc.) between providers, hindering their ability to make informed decisions for shoppable procedures.
    4. Despite Insurance, Patients Paying Extra for Medical Services: Because of high negotiated rates, patients with high-deductible insurance plans often end up paying more for common medical services, such as labs and imaging, until their deductible is met.
    5. No Competitive Pricing: Healthcare providers cannot easily compare their negotiated rates with competitors, preventing them from offering competitive pricing.
    6. Employers Paying Astronomically High Compared to Market Price: Due to the lack of information on how much insurance is paying to healthcare providers, employers end up paying much higher prices than the market rate for medical services.

Care Cadet aims to tackle these challenges by providing a transparent platform that empowers patients, providers, and employers alike. With accessible pricing information and cost comparison tools, Care Cadet strives to make healthcare more affordable and accessible for all.

Specifically, Care Cadet aims to support uninsured individuals, high deductible insurance holders, and individual health plan buyers in receiving affordable care by paying cash prices for non-emergency treatments. We also envision making it easy for healthcare organizations and employers to utilize the machine-readable file (MRF) pricing data from hospitals and health plans. Care Cadet’s data products convert this vast source dataset into practical pricing information for organizations.
